Hawaiian Paradice is a family owned and operated shaved ice and concessions business. A trip to the Hawaiian Islands in June of 2013 left us craving shaved ice (or ‘shave’ ice as the islanders say). Within eight weeks of our return to Georgia, we created a business name and logo, purchased a trailer, developed recipes using the same concentrates that 98% of the Hawaiian based businesses use and started selling shaved ice on a street corner in Powder Springs, Ga. Our dream had come true!

We became the vendor of choice, operating the concessions at the Cobb County Seven Springs water park that opened in May of 2015. The lines were so long, we quickly hired the friends of our children to help us meet the shaved ice demand!

In 2016 we were invited to run the concessions at the Oasis Water Park in Cherokee County. We also added two locations in Cobb County, including the Al Bishop Softball Complex and the Cobb Civic Center. The addition of these locations expanded our shaved ice business to five sites and an average of 18-20 employees.

The year 2017 was a full one for Hawaiian Paradice! We sold a Hawaiian Paradice license to a young couple in their small Georgia town, population less than 1,200. They were so profitable that within a few months they purchased a second trailer to expand their area to the next town. In 2017, we were also contracted by the City of Marietta to run the Franklin Gateway Sports Complex and the brand-new Splash Pad at Elizabeth Porter Park. 

Although operating seven locations with almost 30 employees and supporting our licensee is much more than we ever expected, we have not compromised the service or the quality of our product. We still use premium ingredients from the beautiful island of Hawaii, and continue to put a smile on each of our customers faces. As our tag line suggests, it is “The finest shaved ice in the South.”
